When I was a kid I could never find my shoes. "HEY MOM!!!!! WHERE ARE MY SHOES?"
"WHEREVER YOU TOOK THEM OFF LAST."
"CHECK UNDER THE KITCHEN TABLE."
Sure enough that is where they would be.
Funny thing, this morning I couldn't find my shoes. No use in asking Gary. I think he may not even see them any more.
I found them of all places in the trunk of my car.
Yeah, I don't really know why they were there. They just were.
I sorta chuckled today when I got home from work. I started to pick things up around the house and couldn't help but
see a pattern in my life.
Some things never change. Is it really that important anyway? Apparently not to me.
And Gary? well he does come home every night.

Love it. That looks like our house, but x4 here!
Hilarious! You PROBABLY leaned down to pick up the shoes and saw the pile of dust you swept up the day before so you went to get the dustpan and then you saw that there was a smudge on the fridge so you got the windex and saw that the trash needed to be taken out and then when you took the trash out you saw the weeds that needed to pulled which in turn lead you to see all the dog messes that needed to be picked up...and then, well who can remember that you were going to pick up your shoes at that point?
I love you and I love that I also have my shoes all over the place. I love the things that I KNOW came from you without you ever even knowing you were giving them to me. I'm not sure that made sense but I'm sure you get the picture.
Cute - looks like you need a "shoe fairy" just like Buzzy has a "sock fairy"! :)
This has passed on to Buzzy as well. Love this family!
Thank goodness... I took several pics this morning locating my many pair of glasses... so happy not to be alone!
If you never give your husband any money they come home every night! That's worked for us for almost 26 years.
Some of us simply need to have shoes come off immediately when we get home! It's the best! I am curious about the trunk though...that one is just funny and trailing!
Ha ha, that's funny! I have the same problem with shoes and I wrote a post with my shoe rack solution recently :)
