As good as it's going to get

I told you I would do my "best" or "as good as it gets" photo. I celebrated my 39th Anniversary today. We went to a new restaurant called The Public House. The website promised good things. I put on my new little skirt and my new little top and we drove down there. We walked up and there was outdoor dining, indoor or front deck. The front deck had a heavy mister going which would have had my hair straight in 20 min. I was having familiar feelings of an anniversary past. Many years ago we went away without our children and drove to myrtle beach, SC. I was all prepared for a lovely dinner out and was all dressed up in this nice black dress with a lovely accent scarf of yellow tied around my neck. We went to this special restaurant only to find that it was a country steak house with peanut shells on the floor and a waitress in jeans. I was very overdressed, very out of place and felt like a goofball. I was living out one of my childhood fears. So when we walked in and we were standing there realizing that we were once again in a hamburger, steak, beer joint my husband looked at me and said, "let's go somewhere else". We left and drove to a nice place with some soft Jazz and enjoyed a lovely dinner.
